Beyond seeking mass appeal - which will.i.am once said he was after during our in-studio chat for The Source’s Critical Beatdown feature - there are intent and ethos.

For the context of my newsletter’s growth, it has taken me a copious amount of time to figure out the angle, subject and well, ethos and intent. At this point I’m more boutique and I may just keep it that way, bottom line be damned. Writing is rewriting and that’s really the ‘why’ to this. Organic growth should come naturally (plus, like my day one brethren Yello Blac does on his YouTube, Let’s Experiment, righteously).

Being a business school dropout on biz strategy, it doesn’t sit too well that C2C content is fly by the “seat of my pants” any more than me randomly sliding into DMs of Snoop Dogg’s former manager I profiled for HipHopDX running a new NIL focused brand with his son.

Ultimately I am all about intent and purpose so this is an explainer and intro to the intellectual leg work. And speaking of leg work.

Credit To Culture (Inaugural) Champ of the 🏆Week

Seattle-based, Daemeon Burrell of newly launched Converge Music is someone I admire. He personifies the ethos of what I’m trying to do - inspire and push dope music to ears and eyes and eliminate noise and all the other b.s.

Pre-Converge Media, Daemeon was hands on in the Middle East and East Africa booking shows and events. I wrote several press releases for Daemeon for his international clients booked to DJ in Bahrain and East Africa.

Now stateside and back in his hometown of Seattle, I believe his team and he will take off with Converge Music. Credit to Culture of the PNW, do dizzoubt.
